Before starting the grader, the operator needs to conduct a comprehensive inspection of the equipment. This includes checking whether the levels of fuel, lubricating oil, and coolant are within the normal range, the air pressure and wear of the tires or tracks, whether the various connection parts are loose, and whether the working devices (such as scrapers, rakes, etc.) are installed firmly and can operate normally. At the same time, it is necessary to clean up the debris around the equipment, ensure that there are no obstacles in the operating site, and ensure the safety of the operating space.
When starting the grader, follow the correct starting steps. Generally, turn on the main power switch first, and then start the engine. After starting, let the engine idle for a period of time to preheat so that all parts are fully lubricated and reach the appropriate working temperature. During the preheating process, you can check the various indicator lights and instrument readings on the dashboard to ensure that there are no abnormalities in the equipment.
When the grader is driving, choose the appropriate driving speed according to the conditions of the construction site. When operating the steering system, turn the steering wheel smoothly to avoid sudden steering. For articulated graders, pay attention to the movement of the hinge point to ensure flexible and stable steering. During driving, always pay attention to the surrounding environment and avoid personnel and other construction equipment.
When performing leveling operations, adjust the angle, height and extension length of the scraper as needed. By manipulating the corresponding control lever, the scraper can be raised, lowered, tilted, rotated and other actions. For example, to level a sloped site, it is necessary to accurately adjust the inclination angle of the scraper. During operation, the leveling should be carried out step by step from low to high and from edge to middle. The cutting depth of each scraper should not be too large to ensure flatness.
The operator must undergo professional training and be familiar with the performance and operation of the grader. During operation, personal protective equipment such as a safety helmet must be worn. It is strictly forbidden to repair and maintain the equipment while it is running. If an emergency occurs, the emergency stop button should be pressed immediately to stop the equipment.
