1. Appearance and structure inspection
Cleaning the forklift: Regularly clean the dust, oil and debris on the surface of the forklift. Use appropriate detergents and rags to clean the body, forks and mast. This not only keeps the forklift beautiful, but also makes it easier to find potential problems, such as cracks or wear marks.
Check the body structure: Check whether the frame is deformed or cracked, especially the welded parts. Check the wear of the fork, such as thickness reduction, bending deformation, etc. If the fork wear exceeds the specified limit, it needs to be replaced in time to avoid affecting the safety of cargo handling.
2. Power system maintenance
Engine maintenance (if it is an internal combustion forklift): Check the oil level and quality, and replace the oil and oil filter regularly. Check the coolant level to prevent the engine from overheating. Check the air filter. If it is blocked, it will affect the engine intake and reduce performance. It should be cleaned or replaced in time. For the fuel system, pay attention to whether the fuel filter needs to be replaced to ensure smooth fuel supply.
Battery maintenance (if it is an electric forklift): Check the battery level regularly and add distilled water if it is insufficient. Clean the corrosion on the surface of the battery and use a special battery cleaner and protective agent. Check whether the battery connection wire is loose or corroded to ensure good conductivity. At the same time, avoid excessive discharge and charging of the battery to extend the battery life.
3. Hydraulic system maintenance
Check the hydraulic oil level and quality: Insufficient hydraulic oil will cause the forklift working device to move slowly or abnormally. If the hydraulic oil becomes darker, has an odor or impurities, it should be replaced in time. Clean the vent of the hydraulic oil tank regularly to prevent dust from entering the system.
Check the hydraulic pipeline and seals: Check whether the pipeline is leaking, worn or cracked. If a leak is found, find the cause and repair it in time. Check the integrity of the seal. If it is aged or damaged, it should be replaced to prevent hydraulic oil leakage from affecting the system pressure.
4. Travel system maintenance
Tire inspection (wheeled forklift): Check the wear of the tire and whether the air pressure is normal. Severely worn tires will affect the stability and handling of the forklift and should be replaced in time. For pneumatic tires, check the air pressure regularly to avoid excessive or low air pressure.
Check the drive wheel and guide wheel (if any): Check the wear of the drive wheel and guide wheel, such as wear of the gear teeth and abnormal noise of the bearing. Clean and lubricate the axle regularly to ensure its normal rotation.
5. Regular lubrication
Lubricate each lubrication point regularly according to the manual of the forklift. Including the mast guide rail, chain, joint parts, etc. Use appropriate lubricants to ensure smooth movement of each component and reduce wear.
